Community Appraisal and Motivation Program
Community Appraisal and Motivation Programme (CAMP) is a national non-profit and non-governmental organization established and registered in May 2002, under the Societies Act of 1860 (Registration No. 192/5/2946). We work with some of the most underprivileged communities in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province of Pakistan; responding to emergencies, improving access to quality health and education, creating livelihood opportunities and working closely with communities and government departments to promote human rights, peace and security.
CAMP has a long history of working in the tribal region and is considered as an icon of trust and reliability within the rural and tribal communities. Our technical expertise and capacity to manage projects has helped build a good working relationship with the government departments and win the support and trust of the local society. Moreover, our presence in the FATA region as a leading indigenous NGO is recognized due to our knowledge base on local tribal dynamics and culture, transparent and efficient policies, rapport within the local population and representative community institutions, and excellent working relationship with the FATA Secretariat.
CAMP's approach is based on developing close cooperation with local communities and relevant stakeholders from the start, and relies on detailed assessments to identify and prioritize needs of communities we work with.
CAMP’s overall programme strategy involves working closely with communities to help identify their needs and priorities, and building projects that will lead to durable solutions. With this dynamic approach, our multifarious projects always focus on how we can help communities to help themselves. CAMP has created a niche in FATA and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and continues to address development needs, respond to emergencies, advocate for rights and matters of peace and security, and conduct research.
To provide greater opportunities for marginalized and vulnerable communities in rural areas of FATA and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, for long-lasting peace, security and development.
To build communities where people can lead their lives with dignity, honour and without any discrimination based on class, race, religion or language.
Promoting effective partnerships among institutions across Pakistan and internationally through dialogue; building common perspectives, promoting peace, harmony, prosperity and sustainable development for the underprivileged and vulnerable communities of FATA and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
